by on December 1, 2014

My co-blogger and collaborator Katrina Pritchard will be leading this event ‘Leading and managing in age diverse organisations‘ – part of the Business Perspectives Masterclass series organized by the Open University Business School – on Thursday 12 February in London next year.

Further details, including location, speakers and how to book, are available via this link.

This all-day event will explore issues relating to age diversity from the perspective of those leading and managing contemporary organizations from the legal, automotive and health sectors. Katrina and I will also be presenting some of our research.

Speakers include:

  • Peter Cheese, Chief Executive of the CIPD – insights and perspectives from the organisation whose mission is ‘Championing better work and working lives’
  • Martin Hall, HR Manager at BMW – hear Martin’s extensive experience of managing a workforce spanning the full age spectrum
  • James Davies, Joint Head of Employment, Lewis Silkin LLP – offering a legal perspective on managing in age diverse organisations
  • Paul Deemer, Head of Equality, Diversity and Human Rights, NHS Employers – sharing insights from the NHS
  • Professor David Wilson, Professor in Organisational Studies, The Open University Business School – Internships and today’s workplace
  • Melanie Simms, University of Leicester – Internships and today’s workplace
  • Dr Katrina Pritchard, Senior Lecturer in Organisational Studies, The Open University Business School – Taking stock of stereotypes
  • Dr Rebecca Whiting, Research Associate, The Open University Business School – Taking stock of stereotypes
  • Sharon Collard, Chair in Personal Finance Capability, The Open University Business School
  • Lydia Fearn, Barclays Corporate & Employer Solutions

Business Perspectives is the place for The Open University Business School community of practising global managers, whether student, alumnus, corporate connection, or new to the School, to share their perspectives on current business matters with each other and with academic and research staff

We’d be delighted if readers of our blog are able to attend.
