Retirement and Prince George via South China Morning Post
Sometimes the wonders of Web 2.0 still surprise us. Like this morning when I discover a piece in the South China Morning Post “When working at the age of 65 becomes the norm” and discover that it is based on a report by German fund house Allianz Global Investors. Moreover, the report is called “When Prince George becomes King” and is a “future vision” piece that looks at a range of issues from demographic to environmental change. Now there has been a lot of coverage of Prince George in the UK but this seems a rather innovative use of his birth to fast forward to the demographic issues of the late 21st century.
Meanwhile in the states, much discussion (such as on this blog piece: What me retire?) relates to the issues facing those approaching retirement today, particularly focusing on the challenges of planning for retirement when it is unclear exactly when or how that might happen.
