World Bank focus on youth unemployment

by on October 11, 2013

The World Bank have a particular focus on the global issue of youth unemployment this month and have recently publised this infographic to highlight their work, which has a particular focus on the opportunities for young women across the globe.

They say: “The World Bank Group has set an ambitious goal for the global community, to eliminate extreme poverty by 2030 and to boost shared prosperity for the bottom 40% of the population. This requires that we engage effectively to bring hundreds of millions of people out of poverty and into productive work. The primary stakeholders in this endeavor are today’s young people”

An archive of their recent debate and the associated twitter feed are available on their website.
