EU review youth unemployment

by on June 18, 2013

This report highlights the various initiatives ongoing and proposed by the EU in respect to youth unemployment.  Provided by EUobserver.com, this suggests that the EU is planning to review the policies and procedures in place in each member state to address and assist youth unemployment.  It further comments on the ongoing debates regarding the allocation of the 6 billion euros that have been set aside from 2014 to tackle youth unemployment across the EU.  This “aims to ensure young people up to age of 25 receive job offers, continued education, an apprenticeship or a traineeship within four months of leaving school or becoming unemployed”.
