Women, leadership and age

by on March 21, 2013

The Guardian has asked women working in technology and media what they think of Sheryl Sandberg’s advice to women. The chief operating officer of Facebook has just published a book, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, based on her TED speech about why we have so few women leaders.

The women’s comments (which can be viewed here) are grouped by their age category (20s, 30s, 40s and 50s) to represent women at different stages in their careers. Interesting in itself, no women aged 60 plus are included. The women were asked to comment both on Sandberg’s advice and on the future of the women’s movement.
