Europe’s Youth Guarantee Scheme

by on December 7, 2012

The European Commission are promoting a Youth Guarantee Scheme (link here) for all member states to implement and which (they say) is one of the best ways of reducing youth unemployment. This is currently running at an average of 23% for those under 25 (though the rate is much higher in some countries such as Spain).

Under the Scheme, everyone under 25 will be offered a job, apprenticeship, traineeship or further education after leaving school or after their last employment.
