Keeping the over 50s active – solidarity between generations and sharing skills?

by on August 16, 2012

We are reminded by this piece in The Guardian that 2012 is European Year of Active Aging and Solidarity Between Generations and the EU has been working on a range of projects designed to pull generations together.

The article mentions The Amazings, a scheme which offers those over 50 the chance to sell their skills. Interestingly a reader comment -said to be from one of the founders – says the scheme wasn’t designed to share skills specifically with younger generations but more to keep the over 50s active and connected!
