Age, visibility and writing novels
A further contribution to the debate about age and visibility, this time in respect of writing novels.
This blog in The Guardian considers these issues (and creativity, often stereotyped as a young person’s attribute) – and what has been said about them by other authors – in the context of novelist Cynthia Ozick who is in her 80s. Her novel, Foreign Bodies, has been shortlisted for the Orange Prize.
Some interesting comments too from readers.
