Now the age discrimination claim that Miriam O’Reilly successfully brought against the BBC has been singled out by Rowan Atkinson who states that ‘few people seem to appreciate the attack on creative free expression that Miriam O’Reilly’s case represents’.
Rowan Atkinson’s suggestion that anti-discrimination legislation is inappropriate in the ‘creative industries’ has received much coverage and, as one might expect, generated a fair amount of comment, as seen in articles published by the BBC, the Telegraph and the Guardian.
