by on September 21, 2011

John Philpott, Chief Economist at the CIPD , is quoted as saying that political pressure is responsible for an over-emphasis on youth unemployment at the expense of more vulnerable groups. Whereas most unemployed young people would find work when the economy picked up, those who had lost their jobs at older ages would often struggle to find employment.
