‘Younger workers have had enough of being treated like second class citizens’

This is the view of Sophie Cullinane in an article in the Guardian which highlights the rise of unpaid internships in the UK. Some argue that they are replacing paid permanent jobs.  It is estimated that 100,000 young people will work as an unpaid intern this year.

‘Pay Your Interns’ is an online campaign launched this week by Tanya de Grunwald (founder of GraduateFog.co.uk) to name and shame large organizations that adopt this practice.
